The Mount Toubkal  and High Atlas in Morocco is mainly populated by Berbers Amazigh. Life is tough at altitude in extreme weather conditions.

In the High Atlas, which runs through Morocco in its width, mostly Amazigh Berbers live. At altitude, life is harsh and cold stunning. In small villages, Berber women weave traditional rugs, children play at the heart of these majestic mountains … Marrakesh is near and sunny, but the climate in the Moroccan High Atlas is different and life too!

Now, the Berbers and the Atlas has always been linked throughout history of North Africa, to the point that one wonders what it would be without the Atlas Berbers and Berbers without Atlas?

A rural mountain world and rich sense of identity is evoked by these two words: The Berbers and the Atlas, and the traveler or tourist visiting Morocco, and out of conventional circuits, often receives some or through parts of the Berber dancing or weaving rugs that are exposed in the souks of Moroccan cities. But Will under which unfolds everyday life? How do they live each day? Each season? What are the festive occasions? Their customs, their beliefs? This is what we will discover during our trekking.
