A 240 km from Marrakech massive M’goun in the central High Atlas culminating at 4068 m. This little snowy Himalayan massif is a paradise for ski tours in Morocco. The Atlas Central is wonderfully ready to ski touring. First ascent of M’Goun, limestone massif of the Central Atlas rugged landscapes. Then we climb the Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. Highlights the country Berbers!

Daily ski tour allow us to go each day at the discovery of another ridge and undertake wonderful downhill skiing under the blue skies M’goun.

Itinerary of the Combined Toubkal and Mgoun Ski Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Arrival in Marrakech, transfer, overnight at the hotel, free visit of the red city Marrakech.

Day 2: Marrakech / The Happy Valley

We start our Ski Tour by a Transfer by minibus to Azilal Ait M’Hamed then by a pleasant road (journey 6h)

After loading mules, we go by the Arousse Valley, night in a cottage in a barn, 3H walk 600 m.

Day 3: Arousse / Summit Aghray 3500M / Board Tarkedite

Early departure to go up the valley via Tizi Do Oghray, beautiful descent to reach the refuge Tarkdite two nights, 5 hours walk, 900M.

Day 4: Summit M’goun

Ascension M’goun, highest point of Central High Atlas, 4068m, a climb that leads to the first summit, 4008M. After the ridge, we will reach the summit. Then beautiful descent by beautiful slopes supported. Back at the shelter, 7H walk 1100M.

Day 5: Tarkdite dejabal Igoudamen

Be mounted after the pass, downhill walk from Dejabal Ait Bouli, we will go back in a vast mineral circus, beautiful snowy valleys to reach the valley of Ait Bougumez, walking 7H 550M.

Day 6: Ait Bougumez / Imlil

After breakfast, back on the road to Marrakech, Imlil arrival. Night in a cottage, stroll in the Moroccan Chamonix.

Day 7: Imlil / Toubkal

Durring our Ski Tour we will Crosse the village of Armed, beautiful climb to reach the village Sidi chamharouche (marabout). After the meal, the holders take over arrivals mules to the refuge of Toubkal (3200 Neltner refuge) two nights at the shelter. 1300M

Day 8: Summit Ouanokrim, 4088M

The valley of Assif N’Ait Mizan, beautiful view of the needles of Akioud to 4020M, access via a steep slope at 3750m Tizi Ouagan. Arriving at the top of Timzguida, beautiful view of the plain of Souse and villages of Toubkal. 880M

Day 9: Ascent of Toubkal – Marrakech – The end of the Ski Tour

Early departure for the summit of Toubkal, beautiful steep slope after the highest peak in North Africa. Nice view of the Anti Atlas and descent from the summit by another balcony that brings us almost to the marabout. Then, we will walk 2 hours to reach Imlil, transfer and night in Marrakech.

Day 10: Marrakech

Visit of the city according to flight times and return flight, 2 hours before takeoff.
