Family Trek in Morocco
Morocco is a great country because it is accessible to all. In Morocco is often said that children are kings. To discover, we offer treks and hikes especially suited to families with children.
Morocco has many exciting possibilities for inclusion in your family trek. There is the Sahara Desert with its camels and oases, the High Atlas mountain range with their snow-tipped caps and the cities of Marrakech and Fes where you can enjoy Moroccan culture.
The days are shorter and the contact with the people further to the smaller open to different world.
The trek itinerary below is an example of a Family Trek in the Atlas Mountains.
Itinerary
Day One: Imlil – Tizi n’Tamaterte – Tachddirt
Departure from Marrakech to Imlil, then to the Tacheddirt valley via Tizi N’Tamatert (2279m) to reach the village in the valley of Ouanesekra. Tacheddirt where we spend the night in a Berber camp or cottage.
Day Two: Tachddirt – Imsker
Tacheddirt left in the morning, you and your group will drive to the village Imsker from many other settlements on your way through the Imnan Valley. The night will be spent in lodgings.
Day Three: Imsker – Tizi n’ Libour Pass – Tizi Oussem
6-7 hours through the mountains will take you through Tizi n ‘Libour Pass and then you continue your trek to Tizi Oussem where you spend the night in a hostel. Tizi Oussem also has a steam room, a local variety of steam bath that you can use if you wish.
Day Four: Tizi Oussem – Imlil
The last day you will drive to Imlil via the largest most beautiful waterfall in the region, before meeting your muletiers in Tizi Mizzik to 2489m. After lunch you walk until Imlil where your journey will end. From Imlil you can transfer back to your hotel or lodgings.
