From the oldest to the newest, the four imperial cities of Morocco are Fes, Marrakech, Rabat and Meknes. Each of these cities was founded by a new dynasty to be the capital of his kingdom.

Itinerary

Day One: Casablanca

On your first day you’ll be met by your guide at Casablanca airport. Welcome by our Agent, assistance and transfer to hotel.  The afternoon will be yours to do with as you wish in the economic capital of Morocco. Dinner and accommodation.

Day Two: Casablanca – Rabat

After breakfast, meet with the guide to visit Casablanca, the famous Hassan II Mosque, the harbour district, the Royal Palace, Mohamed V Square and the residential area of Anfa before heading on to the administrative and political capital, Rabat. Discover Rabat: the Hassan Tower, gigantic unfinished minaret of 44 m, the Royal Palace, the prestigious Mohammed V Mausoleum decorated in marble, gold leaf and onyx. You will visit also the Oudaia Kasbah that overlooks the mouth of the Bou Regreg River, the Hassan Tower and the Necroplis of Chellah that is situated in the Roman ruins of Sala Collonia. Late afternoon arrival at the hotel, installation, dinner and overnight.

Day Three: Rabat -Moulay Idriss – Fes – Meknes – Fes

Departure to visit the ruins of Volubilis, ancient Roman city where you can admire its many remarkably preserved mosaics and photo stop at the holy city of Moulay Idriss, Morocco’s sacred city, which houses the Roman Volibulis ruins. Road to Meknes, the Moroccan Versailles and a visit to the old medina, Bab El Mansour and a look at the modern part of the city, for contrast. When you arrive at Fes, you can eat and check in to your hotel.

Day Four: Fes

Continuation to Fez, religious, intellectual and artistic metropolis of Morocco and the oldest of the Moroccan Imperial Cities, the Madrasa Bou Anania. Lunch in a former Moroccan palace. Then discovery instead Nejjarine with its magnificent fountain, the Karaouine Mosque (exterior), the wood museum, then visit the souks of Morocco among the most important tanneries.

Day Five : Fes – Immouzer Kandar/Azrou – Beni Mellal – Marrakech

Wake up early morning and breakfast. Departure to Marrakech via the Immouzer Kandar and Azrou, a Berber village famous for its agricultural co-operative. Through the forest areas and mountains, arriving at Beni Mellal and lunch and on the way to Marrakech you’ll be travelling through some stunning forest and mountains, the kind of scenery that Morocco is famous for. Arriving late in the day and in at the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day Six : Marrakech

In the morning, you’ll have the opportunity to view historical monuments such as the gardens and the orchard basin at Menara, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs and the Museum Dar Si Said or the Bahia Palace. Afternoon dedicated to the guided tour of Marrakech: the museum of arts and traditions, the Palais de Bahia, a veritable maze of corridors and staircases built in the last century, the famous Djemaa El-Fna, the heart of the medina Marrakech, with its snake charmers, storytellers and acrobats … Dinner and night in a charming riad in Marrakech

Day Seven : Marrakech – Toubkal Massif – Marrakech/Casablanca

Breakfast at 8 am departure to the summit of Toubkal 4760m 2 hours walk. You’ll visit the various villages of the Toubkal Massif surrounded by snow-peaked mountaintops and wild, ancient vistas. Free lunch. In the afternoon, departure to Marrakech or Casablanca  depending on your hotel booking or flights.

Day Eight: Flight

Breakfast at the hotel. I f you feel like you would like to spend more time out in the wilds or elsewhere in Morocco,Transfer to the airport for departure. Assistance to the different boarding formalities; Flight.
