Day Trip to Essaouira
Essaouira is a city in the western Moroccan economic region of Marrakech -Tensift-Al Haouz, on the Atlantic coast. Since the 16th century, the city has also been known by its Portuguese name of Mogador or Mogadore. The Berber name means the wall, a reference to the fortress walls that originally enclosed the city.

Day 01: Marrakech – Essaouira:
In this day trip from Marrakesh to Essaouira you’ll have the pleasure and the opportunity to visit and discover a Women’s Co-operative manufacturing the marvelous Argan oil, a guided visit to the Skala du Port, the municipal market, the Mellah (Jewish quarter), jewelry souks of the medina, and a handicrafts complex.
We get to the ancient port of Mogador/Essaouira, built during the Portuguese occupation in a narrow peninsula with a huge sand crescent. Perfectly sheltered by stunning French-built ramparts of the eighteenth century, the city is within a walking visit distance and is divided into various districts designed in grid form. From the top of Skala you can see the colorful fishing port and the fortresses.
