The High Atlas, this land of contrast rich heritage will be revealed to you during this cycling journey, a route of a high variety of landscapes both grandiose and unusual.

An eight-day getaway leisurely pace, allowing you to discover the dazzling regions of the Atlas, to meet a Berber welcoming people and discover breathtaking landscapes, fruit of the joint work of man and nature … You live day by day, the wonder brings the freedom of mountain biking in the High Atlas.

Itinerary

Day One: Marrakech

Arrival at the airport of Marrakech, Reception and transfer to the city, installation and night in a hotel or Riad.

Day Two: Marrakech – Denmate – Imi n’Ifri – Tizi n’ Amarskine – Imi n’Waqqa

Early departure to the region of Demnate and the natural bridge of Imi not Ifri (1100m). After visiting this site we will continue to raid starting point. Unload the car and ride bikes for the first pedal strokes which will be on a red dirt track. Long passages flank before the ascension of our first pass the tizi does Amarskine (2020m) with stunning views of the valley iwaredne. Descent to Imi n’Waqqa (1817m) through many Berber villages.

Day Three: Imi n’Waqqa – Tarbat n’Tirsal – Tizi n’Tighist – Abachkou – Assif Ait Boulli Aguersif – Agouti – Happy Valley

Passing the village of Tarbat n’Tirsal and mounted under the eye of Ghat ensuring good to cross the Tizi Mount n’Tighist (2400m) famous for its rock carvings, very nice descent to the valley Abachkou, hilly terrain of dazzling colors. Lunch beside the « ouad ». In the afternoon, we along Assif Ait Boulli Aguersif up before climbing to a good Agouti, the first village in the valley of Ait Bouguemez (1800m), then we will continue along the valley through with a fabulous landscape to the village Imelghas. You can then stay overnight at a bed and breakfast in the heart of the Happy Valley (you can also camp if you wish). The day comprises 51 km of mountain biking.

Day Four: Bouguemez – Tizi’n Tirghist Pass – Assamsouq Valley – Zawyat Ahansal

We ride our bikes to discover the valley of Bouguemez. Since then, we begin a good climb until Tizi’n Tirghist Pass (2629m). On top of the pass, the view is breathtaking on the massif of M’Goun and its 4068m. We cross the “dead forest” until Tizi does ilissi (2603m). Arriving at the pass, a beautiful descent of about 1000m leads us to the ancient village of Zawyat Ahansal ancient religious brotherhood and beautiful Berber village at the foot of the majestic mountain of Aroudan. Gite night.

Day Five: Zawyat Ahansal – Mestefrane Rock – Imi n’Ouareg – Assif Melloul – Anergui

Mountain bike, we go down the beautiful river Zawyat Ahansal. From time to time, against the bottom we find some villages with “Tighremt” = (fortified houses). We go to the right side to begin a gradual ascent on a mountainside. At the height of our ascent, we discover behind the impressive circus Taghia and its ocher cliffs. In front of us, the imposing cliff Metefrane, more known as the “Cathedral” Beautiful winding descent to the bottom of the valley where we’re staying in lodging along the river to the village of Imi Ouareg at the foot of this magnificent site.

Day Six: Anergui – Roud N’ Iroul Pass – Tasrafte – Ait Abdi – Imilchil – Lake Tislit

Always along the wadi Ahansal we continue our raid to the north by a small pass (1450m) to Join Tilouguit. After you will be heading along 50km of wild, steep trails, to the high ridges of Roud N’ Iroul Pass (2480m) and crossing the highland territories of the nomads before riding into the high altitude villages of Tasrafte,

Day Seven: Lake Tislit – Tasrafte – Marrakech

From Tasrafte, you can head back to Marrakech. After breakfast, there is 2 hours of biking to be had, before heading back to where you are staying in the city. In the afternoon, possibility to visit some monuments, souks, or simply rest.

Day Eight: Marrakech

Transfer to the airport according to your departure time.
