This trek allows you to discover the Berber villages, meet the Berber population, see the original architecture and get used to walking at altitude before attacking the summit of Mount Toubkal (4167m), the highest peak of the North Africa.
Itinerary
Day One: Marrakech – Imi Oughlad – Tizian
Breakfast at your accommodation in Marrakech and transfer to the starting point of the tour, meeting with the team (guide, cook and mule) near the village of Agersioual. Small break with welcome tea and then start the trek to the valley Azzaden the amount Mattat Valley & cross the Tizi does Oudid (2000m), beautiful mountain views & Berber villages, walk through juniper forest , beautiful descent on the village of Id Issa to admire the beauty of this multi-colored valley, then continue to Tizi Oussem (1850m) for overnight stay.
Day Two: Tizian – Tizi Oussem – Refuge of Toubkal (3207m)
For the second day the climb is quite steep from the valley Azzadene to the Refuge Toubkal. We admire Ighouliden Falls and Aguelzim neck 3,560m. Lunch will be taken with spectacular views of the Atlas Mountains.
Day Three : Refuge (3207m) – summit of Toubkal (4167m) – Refuge (3207m)
It will be up early for the ascent of Toubkal (4,167m) from where you have a magnificent view of the Atlas mountains, green valleys and Berber villages, pause at the top to admire the scenery and take beautiful photos, beautiful descent towards the refuge.
Day Four : Refuge of Toubkal (3207m) – Imlil (1775m)- Marrakech
Depending on the weather, you can climb to the summit that day and down to Imlil in the afternoon. The final day will take you about 8 hours in total.
